Samantha Bergstrom serves as a member of the Climate Ready Hawaiʻi cohort, which helps Hawaiʻi adapt to climate change impacts. Bergstrom improves outreach and communication tools that communities can access, analyzes opportunities to add sustainable measures to the county’s capital improvement projects, and provides data visualization for resilience measures through maps, charts, and graphs for the County of Hawaiʻi's Long Range Planning Division.  

Bergstrom received her Bachelor of Science Environmental Studies from the University of Washington with focuses on Aquatic Sciences and Native American studies in 2021. Before joining the Climate Ready Hawaiʻi Cohort, Bergstrom coordinated with Seattle Public Schools to provide food services for low-income families during COVID-19 and worked for the Washington State Parks in the San Juan Islands to provide upkeep of public lands as well as educate the public about the local environments.
