SAM LEMMO

Sam Lemmo is the administrator of the Department of Land and Natural Resources Office of Conservation and Coastal Lands (OCCL). The OCCL is responsible for overseeing approximately two million acres of private and public lands that lie within the State Land Use Conservation District. OCCL is responsible for overseeing beach and marine lands out of the seaward extend of the State’s jurisdiction. Mr. Lemmo has developed plans, policies, and programs to protect Hawaii’s beaches. He co-authored the Hawaiʻi Sea Level Rise Vulnerability and Adaptation Plan, published in 2017.
