She supports the VISTAs in equity- and climate-related project development and coordination and helps with cohort building through events such as the upcoming Earth Month events. She began her service as VISTA Lead after serving as the Community Engagement and Communications Specialist in the inaugural Climate Ready Hawaiʻi cohort.

Before her VISTA service, she designed and implemented events to educate and promote the growth of the Aloha+ Challenge Goals through her work with the Hawaiʻi Green Growth Local2030 Hub. She worked as a freelance writer for the WE Empower UN SDG Challenge, a global business competition for women entrepreneurs and social entrepreneurs advancing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Wood worked as an Outreach Coordinator with GRID Alternatives, a nonprofit organization that positively transforms the lives of low-income families by providing them access to clean, affordable solar energy, as well as hands-on training that reduce barriers to entering the solar industry. Wood graduated from the University of California, Riverside in 2020 with a Bachelor of Science in Sustainability Studies.

  • Member Development Revere developed and implemented a three-week training that informed the incoming VISTAs about climate change and mitigation and adaptation strategies specific to Hawaiʻi. She continues to coordinate presentations from experts, provide learning and training opportunities, and mentor the VISTAs so they can best accomplish their objectives.
  • Project Development and Coordination Revere assists the Climate Commission staff and its VISTAs in developing projects that help advance the missions of the Commission and of AmeriCorps that address climate change action and anti-poverty, respectively. Revere is currently developing and coordinating Earth Month projects to engage the community and partners on the Commission’s mission statement. She also provides support in the development and coordination of informational events sponsored by the Commission.
  • Communications Under the guidance of the Commission staff, Revere develops and coordinates content creation for the Climate Commission’s social media platforms. She provides support and coordination for the Commission’s Coordinator’s newsletter and maintains and updates the Climate Commission’s website as pertaining to the Commission’s and AmeriCorps’ core values. She also works with the Commission's Communications Hui, a group of community partners that provide climate change information.
